Clare Bean is a single mother to one and has experienced first hand the struggle involved with being a sole provider. Together with Morgan Siler, her partner and a single mother as well, she has created a concept that is long overdue and needed for the single parent community. Clare’s background is in Graphic Design, having owned her own freelance business with an emphasis on Sustainable Design for two years (Clarify Designs) and has ten years of creative and internet related experience. Specializing in the art, design and client services, Clare is an entrepreneur at heart. She brings her unique brand of creative talent and multiple years of professional business influences to the iHeartSingleParents.com creative and business strategy. Clare has been passionate about serving her fellow humans, especially single parents, and remains committed to these principles. Additionally, for over 15 years Clare has had a heart for saving the environment. She has been active in the “Green Movement,” creating the online community Bright Green Network for professionals, business owners and community leaders to network. Clare is a fine artist, and has owned a mural painting business.Throughout her upbringing, Clare has participated in outreach events, such as serving in a soup kitchen, taking part in educating low income children, and has been a member of the Sierra Club. Morgan Siler earned a master’s degree in Philosophy, traveled the world extensively, and lived abroad on several occasions gaining a deep appreciation of the universal need for community, and the value of social networking. Shortly after beginning a successful career in photography, she became a single mother and quickly realized the lack of quality and relevant resources on the web for modern single parents. Recognizing the present problem and need, she embraced the zeitgeist of social networking and hip parenting, and shifted to become an entrepreneur, taking her quest for a meaningful and well-lived life into the online world, and the realm of single parenthood. In 2007 she began the Modern Single Momma blog, receiving praise and warm welcome from the blogging community. In early 2008 she launched the website SingleParentSpecials.com, which brings style and wellness perks and discounts to single parents from local and online businesses and services. She has been asked to appear on local and national news and talk shows to speak on issues pertaining to single motherhood, and is positioning herself to become an expert in single parent life and style. Morgan’s unique background as an academic, a traveler, a photographer, a mother, and an entrepreneur, brings renaissance talents, fresh perspective and compelling drive to MorningLight’s vision and social networking strategies.
